From beginners to advance levels, this week-long conference is for credit union professionals at credit unions of any size who offer loans to small businesses. You’ll find the information and the networking opportunities you are craving during this conference.

Days 1-3 (Monday – Wednesday)

Commercial Lending Basics: Participants in these three days of the Conference will find themselves immersed in balance sheet and income statement basics, cash flow and debt service calculations to determine if the borrower can repay, business loan documentation basics, and portfolio management best practices.

Day 4 (Thursday)

Commercial Appraisals—From Ordering Through Review: Participants in this session will learn from an expert commercial appraiser and trainer about the necessary basics to successfully get a quality product from your appraisers, specifically one that fits the transaction, and how to stay in compliance with all Interagency Commercial Appraisal Guidelines.

PA Economic Update for Financial Institutions: The Commonwealth’s Secretary of Banking and Securities will provide an overview of the hot topics affecting banks and credit unions alike and insight about the future of the financial services industry.

Completing Schedule A of the 5300 Call Report: If you’d like to find out if you are correctly calculating your MBL outstanding balances and reporting your MBLs to the NCUA on Schedule A of NCUA’s 5300 Call Report, you won’t want to miss this!

Understanding Your Environmental Due Diligence Options: You know you need to perform due diligence on the commercial properties you take as collateral, but you are not sure what level of due diligence and what form is acceptable in providing sufficient protection for the credit union. Attend and get your questions answered.

Audience: CEOs, CFOs, CLOs and commercial lenders with a desire to learn more in-depth internal procedures for accurate reporting and commercial appraisal compliance, those with Call Report preparation or MBL Cap responsibilities and any commercial loan officer or compliance personnel making or reviewing real estate secured MBLs.

Day 5 (Friday)

Member Business Loan Collection & Workout Best Practices and Commitment Letter and Term Sheet Basics: A seasoned credit union attorney will teach participants how to best structure commercial loan collection processes, achieve optimum results during commercial loan workouts, and start each transaction with the appropriate commitment letter or term sheet.
