About This Event

This 2-day event includes an extensive training course on lending to small businesses that are part of the Marcellus Shale supply chain. Training will feature shale industry leaders who will discuss the operating cycle of a shale driller, supply chain opportunities, benefits and pitfalls—all the things you need to know as a lender to member businesses with ties to the shale industry. The event will be facilitated by Matthew Henderson, Shale Gas Asset Manager, Penn State Extension, College of Agricultural Sciences.

Drilling Site Tour

On Tuesday afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to attend a tour of a Marcellus Shale drilling site for an additional fee. The tour has a limited number of seats and is first-come, first-served. More details, including cost, will follow.

Consider This!

Before you decide that this conference does not apply to you, read this press release from the Lt. Governor’s office. While Mount Joy is nowhere near any drilling sites (in fact, there isn't any Marcellus Shale in Lancaster County), the shale industry is reaching many communities—creating growth opportunity for small businesses and new job creation for the Commonwealth.
