Volunteer Development

Volunteer development is a critical part of your credit union's future when planning its direction and sustainability.  By providing different options and learning styles, volunteers can choose the best learning option and stay informed.

Webinar Series

The Credit Union Webinar Network, run by Financial Education & Development, offers more than a dozen webinars each year designed specifically for volunteers.  Webinars are offered on a variety of topics, and are available individually or as a series (there is a deadline for signing up for the series each year).

Volunteer Achievement Program

CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) helps credit union volunteers learn to work effectively, make informed decisions, and improve credit union performance.  Today’s rapidly changing credit union climate has credit unions relying more heavily than ever on the leadership skills of their elected officials. In fact, to keep up with this pace more and more credit unions are requiring continuing education for their volunteers. VAP is your credit union’s solution to find learning opportunities here for both new and experienced volunteers.

Training on Demand

Board time is precious; maximize its effectiveness with focused, relevant training.  CUNA Training on Demand covers topics your board needs most in the most time efficient way. Don’t forget about the printable workbooks and optional testing to record your board’s proven knowledge of the most critical issues.

More Training Opportunities from CUNA

CUNA offers training, networking and resources to help credit union volunteers make a more powerful impact for their members and the movement. Visionary volunteers are essential in leading credit unions to achieve strategic and economic goals.  Learn more about Board and Volunteer Training.
